Community in classrooms
I think there are many ways we can create a community in our classrooms. One way is having students share their experiences from their homes or communities. They can share their experiences in their writings. Also the different books offered in the classroom can share community ideas. There can also be newsletters distributed that can help create a community in the classroom.

I really like these examples of how to create community in the classroom. Each child can learn from one another by sharing their experiences and then writing about them. It forces them to a look at themselves and their fellow classmates. I also like the idea of having a wide variety of books in the classroom. In some of the schools I observed, I noticed that their classroom libraries had a wide array of books available to the students. Since literacy is so important in the early years it is a great way to pratice literacy skills and create community at the same time.
We have so much to offer each other and allowing students to learn from others is a lesson they will carry to adulthood
